Historical Heritage hires two people for public attention in Boca del Calvari and l'Hort de Colón museums
The museums of Benidorm opt for the integration of people with functional diversity
José Luis and Ana are the guides that receive the public at Museu Boca del Calvari. They are people with functional diversity and provide their services since January in Benidorm through an agreement signed by the City Council with the merchant Ilunion, the group of social enterprises of the Once.
The agreement signed with this social enterprise, which was the winner of the public tender called for this purpose and after competing with another half dozen interested companies, will entail an economic cost for the municipal coffers of approximately 43,000 euros during 2018, which can be extended for another year.
The councilor of Historical Heritage, Ana Pellicer has indicated that this agreement "is a commitment to the integration into the world of work of people with functional diversity" while attenuates "the impact of unemployment on this group and its family environment" . Besides the mayor has advanced that soon this service guides will be implemented also in l'Hort de Colón. "With this program," Pellicer said, "inclusion is facilitated and a complementary and necessary information service is offered to users of our museums."
The functions of the two guides are: opening and closing of the facilities; assistance, reception and information to the public; surveillance during opening hours; realization of statistics, reports and quality surveys; distribution, replacement and control of brochures and other materials of informative nature; and provide visitors with detailed information about temporary exhibitions and educational activities.
Regarding Ilunion, it is a company that employs 36,308 workers in Spain (data from September 2017), of which 40% are people with functional diversity.
