Benidorm begins the procedures to improve sound in the Assembly Hall and install a system for people with hearing disabilities
The Department of Urban Scene, directed by the councilman José Ramón González de Zárate, has begun the procedures to improve the sound of the Assembly Hall in the City Hall and install a system for people with hearing disabilities.
De Zárate explained that "the new sound system will have a new digital table with 16 channels, speakers, subwoofers, amplifiers and sound processor"; while to adapt the Assembly Hall to the hearing impaired "a system called 'loop or magnetic induction loop' will be implemented." This system "can be used by many people at the same time and will reduce the background noise that may exist in this space, improving the perception of people who have a hearing loss".
The councilman recalled that "with the improvement of the sound and the adaptation of the Assembly Hall we fulfilled a plenary agreement approved at the proposal of the municipal group Ciudadanos (Cs)". De Zárate has indicated that "this action will cost close to 9,500 euros and is necessary since the Assembly Hall is the municipal room that hosts more acts, performances and concerts throughout the year."
The file will now go to the Department of Intervention for its audit. "As soon as we have budget availability we will proceed with its installation", something that could happen this January.
