The municipal pool in Guillermo Amor Sports Centre already has an opening date and time
The Municipal Works Brigade is finalizing its performance in the Municipal Swimming Pool of Guillermo Amor Sports Centre, which will open its doors on Saturday, June 4, the Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros, has announced today.
Cebreros, together with the Councilor for Works, José Ramón González de Zárate, toured the facility today to supervise the works that have been carried out in recent weeks so that the public facility can open its doors as soon as possible.
"The intense heat of these days invites us to the first swims," said the councillor, which is why the brigade "is working on preparations" and being able to start a new season, "the first without restrictions after the Covid pandemic -19”, she explained.
For his part, González de Zárate specified that the work being carried out will involve "the replacement of deteriorated tiles and the waterproofing of the main swimming pool."
In addition, he has emphasized, that "the 'beach area' has been reinforced and the lawn conditioned" with the aim that "everyone who comes to the venue can enjoy the facility to the fullest".
The Councilor for Works, finally, has added that the entire area has been cleaned "in-depth" and a new access door to the children's pool has been placed. The City Council, in addition to the work carried out by the brigade, has modernized the filtering and chlorination systems.
Finally, Mariló Cebreros has recalled that "one more year", the municipal swimming pool "does not increase the price".
Access will be one euro for children and two for adults. The hours are also maintained from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; and from 12:00 to 20:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays that do not have special activities scheduled.
