The exhibition complements the exhibition 'Parc Natural de la Serra Gelada. Les llums de l'abisme de Boca del Calvari'
More than a century of images of Serra Gelada are exhibited in Hort de Colón
This morning an exhibition of historical photographs was inaugurated in Hort de Colón under the heading 'La Serra Gelada. Imatges ', collects part of the documentary fund of the Department of Historical Heritage that gathers snapshots previous to those that can be contemplated in the exhibition' Parc Natural de la Serra Gelada. Les llums de l'Abisme ', by Jaume Fuster, from' Museu Boca del Calvari '.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the councilor of Historical Heritage, Ana Pellicer, along with other members of the corporation, have toured the show accompanied by the director of Heritage City Council, Antonio Couto, who has explained the details of some of the snapshots and that go back, in some cases, to the 19th century. A good part of the photographs were taken in the first decades of the 20th century by the captain of carabineros Luis de Cáceres who later gave them to his descendant Edelmiro Trillo and this, in turn, to the Benidorm City Council.
The loneliness of some houses in what is now the multitudinous and multicultural Rincón de Loix or a totally virgin Levante beach does not leave the spectator indifferent. The sample can be visited until June 10.
