Benidorm participates one more year in B-travel of Barcelona
For this edition of the fair, the twenty-eighth, the Agència Valenciana del Turisme participates with an exhibitor of 200 square meters, adapted from the one presented at Fitur last January, and accompanied by the three Provincial Tourism Boards, the Visit Benidorm Foundation , Tourism Alicante and the Federation of Campings of the Comunitat Valenciana.
During the days of the fair Benidorm has shown the whole of the tourist offer of the city, in order to encourage the Catalan tourist to opt for Benidorm as their next holiday destination.
The Comunitat Valenciana is the fourth destination of the Catalans in number of trips and overnight stays, behind Catalonia itself, Aragon and Andalusia. In 2017, Catalans made 1.8 million overnight stays in market accommodation in the Region and made an expenditure of 220 million euros.
The Catalan tourist who visits the Comunitat Valenciana stays overnight in homes of family and friends (40.8%) and hotel establishments (25.6%), travels for leisure reasons (46.2%) and visits to relatives or friends ( 45.4%); it remains an average of 4.1 days and carries out an average daily expenditure of 52.1 euros.
