Mobility department supports taxi drivers in their request to increase control over VTC licenses
Benidorm taxi drivers are concentrated in Alicante to demand a tightening of the rules
The Department of Mobility, directed by José Ramón González de Zárate, has showed its support to workers of the sector in their demand to increase control over the licenses of Rental Vehicles with Driver, the so-called VTC .
More than 130 taxi drivers from Benidorm, about half the total, have travelled to Alicante, together with colleagues from Elche and the capital, to claim that the state regulation limits the activity of these licenses (VTC).
De Zárate said that " it is common for VTCs operating at the airport to take advantage of their trips to Benidorm to pick up services here, where they are not authorized to work and compete with our taxi drivers. "
