Miguel Hernández school inaugurates a school garden tended by early childhood education students
Miguel Hernández school in Benidorm has inaugurated this morning a small school garden that has been installed by the municipal technical services and that is being attended and cared for by the children's education students of this centre.
The Councilors for Education and the Environment, Maite Moreno and Mónica Gómez have approached the school to encourage the students to take care of it and have told them that they will repeat the visit when the seedlings begin to bear fruit.
The students of the educational centre have planted specimens of carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, aubergines, strawberries and other horticultural species that will help them to start growing plants and caring for the environment. With the appropriate periodicity, the young schoolchildren have planted, watered and fertilized the specimens, which is a few weeks will begin to bear the first fruits.
