On Sunday, May 8 at noon, the institutional plenary session of Benidorm Day will be held
Benidorm organizes a complete program of events on the occasion of the 697th anniversary of the Town Charter
Benidorm City Council, through the Department of Culture, the Associació de Penyes and the Grup Carta de Poblament have organized a complete program of events on the occasion of the Granting of the Town Charter to Benidorm. The representation of the Award in the year 1325 will take place next Saturday, May 7, in the Plaza de San Jaime, although the previous week will be full of commemorative events.
This program of events will culminate on Sunday, May 8 with the celebration of the institutional plenary session on the occasion of Benidorm Day. The session will take place at 12 noon in the Plenary Hall of the City Council.
Thus, on May 2 at 8:00 p.m., the exhibition '100 years of Pere María Orts i Bosch' will be inaugurated in the City Hall's Espai d'Art. On the 3rd at 7:30 p.m. the opening of the exhibition 'XXX Aniversari Grup Carta de Poblament' will take place in the Casa del Fester and half an hour later Rafael Alemany's conference on 'Pere María Orts i Bosch: L'home i he thought '.
A day later, the Assembly Hall of La Casa del Fester will host the play 'It could happen' from 8:00 p.m. by the Grup Carta de Poblament. On Thursday, May 5, there will be a concert by the Benidorm Musical Union Chamber Orchestra.
On Saturday the representation of the Town Charter will be held from 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday the program closes with a tribute concert to Pere María Orts by the Societat Musical L'Illa in Óscar Esplá auditorium at 7 p.m. hours. All the events commemorating the anniversary are organized by the Grup Carta de Poblament, Associació de Penyes and the Departments of Culture and Festivals.
Professor Antonio García, former director of the IES Pere María Orts i Bosch and with a long teaching career behind him, will be the maintainer of the act of representation of the Granting of the Town Charter, on the occasion of the 697th anniversary.
