The City Council launches a new edition of the consumption bonds '#BenidormTeDaMás'

02 May 2022
Bono Consumo.

Establishments and services may join from May 6 until the end of the campaign
The same dynamic is maintained as at Christmas: bonuses will be requested and downloaded from the 16th through the 'BuyBono' app or on the website www.bonobenidormtedamas.es
The previous edition had an impact of more than 5 million

The City Council will launch a new edition of '#BenidormTeDaMás' campaign in the middle of the month, with which five 10-euro consumption tickets will be made available to legal adults registered in the city to be used in local establishments. This was announced by the mayor, Toni Pérez, after a meeting with the business community to finalize the details of this new edition of the program '#BenidormTeDaMás'; a process in which Abreca-Cobreca, Aico, Jovempa, radio Taxi, Hosbec, Ociobal, Camping Association, Avibe and Facpyme participated.

The mayor explained that "this edition has the same objective as the previous one: to encourage sales in the local productive fabric at a time when consumption is suffering due to the general rise in prices in the shopping basket and energy, and in which families are having to adjust their economies to the maximum when they are not experiencing difficulties”. “It is time – he stressed – to be at the side of families and also of companies and freelancers. That was the commitment we made and we are going to fulfil it”.

Toni Pérez has advanced that "the campaign will be operational from May 16 to 31" and "will follow the same system as before, with which the citizens of Benidorm are already fully familiar after the Christmas experience". Thus, all persons registered in Benidorm before April 1, 2022, and who are 18 years old will have at their disposal up to five consumption tickets of 10 euros each, adding a total of 50 euros. Each of these 10-euro consumption tickets can be used as a discount on purchases or consumption equal to or greater than 20 euros in establishments participating in the campaign.

Also as in the previous edition of '#BenidormTeDaMás', the tickets can be requested and downloaded from 08:00 on May 16 through the 'app' BuyBono or on the website www.bonobenidormtedamas.es. To access it, users must register.
Both in the 'app' and on the web you can consult the establishments that participate in the campaign #BenidormTeDaMás and in which the consumption tickets can be used.

Concerning establishments and services, "all those who have their fiscal domicile or their activity in Benidorm can participate in this campaign", except those registered in section 647.4. Establishments must register on the web platform and 'app', providing their opening or activity license; a procedure that can be carried out from Friday, May 6.

Toni Pérez has advanced that "this edition is the first of the year, but it will not be the only one, since the intention is to repeat the experience for the Christmas period, as we did in 2021, to encourage consumption during a key campaign for the productive fabric of Benidorm and also for the generation of employment”.

Both this edition and the one that will take place at the end of the year "will be paid for entirely with funds 100% from the City Council."

The first edition of '#BenidormTeDaMás involved an investment of 1.7 million euros by the City Council and resulted in an economic impact of more than 5 million euros. The goal is "to exceed 40,000 users in this campaign." For this, "20% more funds have been provisioned than those consumed in the first campaign of the program".

According to data from the municipal register, a total of 62,598 people meet the age and registration requirements to access  ‘#BenidormTeDaMás’ campaign.
