May 22 has been the date chosen for the celebration of the thirty-seventh edition of the 'Bicycle Day for All' organized by the Department of Sports after its postponement due to heavy rains on March 27.

The Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros, has pointed out that "after the parenthesis caused by the pandemic", the 'Bicycle Day for All' will be the first "great event for lovers of this sport in Benidorm" and that to participate it is not registration is necessary "or pay any fee". You just have to "show up with the bike and helmet" which is mandatory.

The meeting point has been set at 9:30 am on Sunday, May 22, at Parque de Foietes Auditorium, where participants will receive a number. Once the tour is over, with it you will participate in the raffle of bicycles, helmets, gloves, bottles of water and sports equipment that. "It is - Cebreros has abounded - our way of thanking the participation in a festive day that we want to be enjoyed by cyclists and all citizens".

At 10:00 in the morning, the peloton will depart from Foietes and head to Paseo de Tamarindos, circulating along Jaume I, Armada Española and Vicente Llorca Alós avenues, and then return to the starting point. “A flat route – Cebreros pointed out, of approximately 7.2 km, ideal for families with children”. The mayor has abounded in the "need to instil from the earliest age" the advantages and benefits of cycling not only as a sport but "as a sustainable and ecological alternative for mobility" in a city like Benidorm that has significantly increased the spaces for it.

The Councilor for Sports has encouraged Benidorm society to participate in 'Bicycle Day for All' and to "exceed the participation of previous editions". She also thanked the collaboration of Sol Benidorm and Unión Ciclista clubs; and Coca-Cola and Decathlon companies. She has also valued the involvement of the Local Police, Local Civil Protection Group and the Local Assembly of the Red Cross, which have developed an extraordinary security device for the occasion.
