La Huerta in Benidorm hosts this Sunday the traditional 'Mostra de Menjars de la Terra'

Local gastronomic specialties may be tasted from 13.00 hours in the Hermitage of Sanz

The Fiestas Committee of Sant Antoni 2017 IS ready for holding the XVI Mostra Menjars de la Terra that will take place this coming Sunday, October 23, from 13.00 in the Hermitage of Sanz. The councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles and the Vice President of the Commission, José Vicente Calvo, has presented this morning the event that puts in value the traditional cuisine of Benidorm as a cultural element. The Mostra Menjars de la Terra is "an act expected by the people of La Huerta area that each year grows in participation," said the councilman for Fiestas, which focuses on popular traditions and "something as ours as our traditional meals ". Carrobles encouraged all residents and visitors to participate in this "unique experience" which finances much of the festive events in which the Commission of Sant Antoni works for next year. For his part, José Vicente Calvo thanked the support received from the City Council and the department of Fiestas and stressed that while the 'Mostra' aims "to collect some money to cover the fiestas," the prices are "very popular". "The dishes will be two euros and one drink is included." He also announced that in preparing the dishes collaborate a number of prestigious restaurateurs in town.
