The improvements of work to make Tomás Ortuño street pedestrian reach Marte street
The improvements to make a new section of Tomás Ortuño street pedestrian have also reached Marte street, where since this morning the right sidewalk is being operated, where most of the shops on this road are.
The councilman of Works, José Ramón González de Zárate, has indicated that the sidewalk on which it is being acted "is the only one that remained unrenewed for more than 30 years." De Zárate has indicated that it is "a major improvement" in the neighborhood of Tomás Ortuño, and added that with this work "the renovation of the streets of what would be the central block of the city of Benidorm is practically completed "
Thus, "the paving will be changed and this pavement will be extended a bit so that after the implementation of the parking lot, the vehicles do not invade it". In principle, this work will be finished by the end of the week.
De Zárate recalled that in addition to make the section of Tomás Ortuño that runs between La Garita and Limones pedestrian and renovating all the hydraulic infrastructures of the subsoil, the improvements proposed by the company awarded the works, has allowed to expand the scope of initial action, acting in streets like San Antonio or Escuelas.
About the latter, the councilor said that "it is only pending the polishing of the paving of asphalt", at the end of the week the new palm trees were planted. With regard to the global pedestrianization work, these are "coming to an end", since "right now we are working on the intersection of Tomás Ortuño and Limones streets".
