Iberdrola replaces a transformer on Sunday to avoid cuts and breakdowns in the center
The change will affect the power supply of 225 customers for up to five hours
Iberdrola company will replace this Sunday the current center of transformation of Ramos Carratalá street with a new one to avoid breakdowns that result in cuts or supply failures in the most central area of the city. The councilor José Ramón González de Zárate pointed out that this is an "urgent" work that cannot be postpone because, due to the "bad state" in which "cells of the center of the transformer" are located, "it could suffer a breakdown at any time and leave without light part of this part of the city.
The replacement of the transformation center will be done from 09.00 to 14.00 hours, although it is estimated that the performance will be shorter and neighbors and traders will not have to be five hours without light. De Zárate has apologized to those affected, a total of 225 customers, and stressed that this action is done on Sunday "to be the day that gives less consumption."
The council has stressed that with the change of this transformation center is reinforced the electricity grid in the center, as in addition to the replacement is planned "to ring this center to another so that in the event of a failure there are no supply cuts .
From the City Hall, this work will be notified to the different communities and affected owners located in Ramos Carratalá, Asunción, La Garita, La Palma, Los Olivos, Sant Roc and the lower part of Tomás Ortuño.
