The Local Police will repeat a test to cover 10 places of interim agents after detecting anomalies in the multiple choice exam
The third test of selection of candidates for the 10 places of interim agents of the Local Police will be held again next Friday in view of the anomalies detected in the multiple choice exam that was made yesterday. This was announced this morning by the councilors of Public Security, Lorenzo Martínez and Human Resources, Jesús Carrobles. The tests were called by Benidorm City Council to reinforce the Beach Police section during the holiday periods and maximum tourist influx
Both councilors want to underline that with this measure they want to end any hint of suspicion about the lack of transparency in carrying out these tests "and reinforce the commitment of this government team with the principle of transparency, free competition and equal access to the public function ". Lorenzo Martínez wanted to make it very clear that "in the face of the slightest doubt, with the suspension of that exercise, it is shown that we are going to comply with that commitment strictly".
The decision to suspend the exercise carried out yesterday was taken this morning by the members of the court, while the councillors of Citizens Security and Human Resources made a new call to repeat the exam next Friday. Next Monday will be the personal interview to the applicants so that the candidates who have been selected can take the oath of office next Wednesday. "If there is no setback," said Lorenzo Martínez, "the interim agents will be able to provide service at Easter as planned, and we will have fulfilled the commitment to reinforce and improve security at the times of the year with greater influx of tourists ".
Among the 140 candidates who had submitted to this call, 73 candidates have reached this stage of the process, after passing the psycho-technical examination and physical tests.
