Hundreds of Benidorm Primary School students enjoy the play 'Sabores' for 'Young Spectators' cycle
Hundreds of Primary Education students from Benidorm have enjoyed, in Óscar Esplá auditorium of the Parque de l'Aigüera, 'Sabores', by Pàmpol Teatre. Yesterday morning it was the turn of CEIP Leonor Canalejas, Ausiàs March, Vasco Núñez de Balboa, Miguel Hernández, Aitana, Serra Gelada, Colegio Concertado Nuestra Señora de los Dolores and the Colegio Internacional Lope de Vega. Today, Tuesday, in a second round of performances, the CEIP Els Tolls, La Cala, Gabriel Miró, Gabriel Miró, Mestre Gaspar López, El Murtal and Bautista Lledó and Costablanca College have participated.
'Sabores' is part of the pedagogical project of the departments of Culture and Education of Benidorm City Council in the form of comedy, aimed at the little ones. In it, actors and puppets interact with the public in performance with three internationally famous chefs who meet at a grand gala to show off their skills.
The work meets the objectives of the Plan for the Promotion of Reading in Teaching Centers, showing it as a leisure activity. On the other hand, it aims to publicize healthy lifestyle habits from childhood in a country like Spain, with figures for childhood obesity reaching 20%.
The representation of 'Sabores' had originally been scheduled for March 28 and 31. However, heavy rains forced it to be moved to dates with better weather forecasts.
The Joves Espectadors cycle is part of the campaign 'Activem els col•les' of Benidorm City Council which, with the support of the Generalitat, proposes complementary educational activities to schools in Benidorm.
