The works of the stretch between Avenida del Mediterráneo and Juan Fuster Zaragoza could begin in November
The Governing Board approves the tender for the comprehensive development of Ametlla del Mar
The Governing Board of the City of Benidorm has approved this morning the tender for the contract for the complete renovation of Avenida Ametlla del Mar, in the section between Avenida Mediterráneo and Juan Fuster Zaragoza. The companies interested have until October 18 to submit their proposals and it is expected to begin work in November, with a deadline of 6 months. The contest is open procedure and the total amount budgeted is 1,155,523 euros, of which 450,000 will be subsidized by the Provincial Council through the Provincial Plan of Cooperation to the Works and Municipal Competition Services and Improvement of the Road Network Provincial.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, stressed that this work was scheduled for the year 2019 and thus was contemplated in the Municipal Budget itself, recalling that "on the occasion of the negotiation of these budgets and proposed by the Citizens group, the The government has worked to meet the commitment to anticipate these works by making them coincide as much as possible with the remodeling works on the Avenida del Mediterráneo in its initial section, which, as everyone knows, ends on Avenida de Europa. Therefore, "he added," we will maintain works in a part of the Mediterranean, the one that adjoins the streets Herrerias, Puente, Plaza Triangular, until Avenida de Europa, and on the other hand, we start acting in the Avenida l'Ametlla del Sea, from Paseo de Levante to Juan Fuster Zaragoza ".
The works now tendered include an integral development on that section of the avenue, including the change of paving, widening of sidewalks, signage, public lighting, trees, etc., and special emphasis will be placed on the renovation of water infrastructure and the improvement of the pluvial network. It also includes the creation of a bike lane in the center of the road, similar to that of Avenida Jaime I. L'Ametlla de Mar, is therefore also benefited by the implementation of the so-called cyclist ring.
The offers that companies can make will not be down, but will be used to introduce improvements such as the rain collector on Juan Fuster Zaragoza Avenue, which will allow all the water to be stored in Ametlla del Mar and its roads adjacent, when there is torrential rain, it is derived through a new collector that will be made in Juan Fuster Zaragoza. The other improvement contemplated in the specifications will consist of making the same type section in the section from Juan Fuster Zaragoza Avenue to Zamora Avenue where, in addition, a roundabout is planned.
The announcement of the tender for the contract for this work has already been published this morning in the Contractor Profile of the municipal website, where interested parties can obtain more information at the link http://benidorm.org/es/perfil -contractor
