The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, accompanied by the councilor for sports, Mariló Cebreros and the first deputy mayor, Ana Pellicer, briefly visited the French rhythmic gymnastics team trained by the Belarusian naturalized Spanish Ana Baranova and Sara Bayón .
After the exchange of greetings, Baranova explained to the mayor that France started a new cycle in rhythmic gymnastics and in the Olympiad period that in this cycle will last only 3 years, it is preparing what will be the new French team for the next 2024 Olympics Games in Paris.
The choice of Benidorm, she pointed out, is due to the cordiality of the treatment and the facilities found in Benidorm to be able to develop this preparatory and training phase; especially the facilities of Palau d'Esports l’Illa de Benidorm and the professional and technical collaboration of Lilia Nikolova.
After the delivery of some details by the Department of Sports, Mayor Toni Pérez wished the team a happy stay in the city, a profitable training period and the greatest successes for the next competitions in Paris in 2024.
