The 'Et Formem' Benidorm program employs 20 unemployed people with difficulties in entering the labor market

03 July 2019
El programa ‘Et Formem’ Benidorm ocupa a 20 personas desempleadas con dificultades de inserción laboral

The Department of Employment, through the Agency for Employment and Local Development, has launched the program 'Et Formem' Benidorm which employs a score of people with difficulties of employment or belonging to vulnerable groups. The initiative is subsidized by the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor, through the Valencian Employment and Training Service, Labora, and co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF).

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Employment, Mónica Gómez, went this morning to the Employment Center 'Pepita Puchades', where classes are taught, accompanied by municipal technicians; the director of the center, José Antonio Fernández; and teaching staff. The mayor has been interested in the personal situation of the participants and encouraged them to "strive to access the labor market with greater guarantees".

The program 'Et Formem' can be accessed by people in situations of risk or social exclusion. The training activity began on May 31 and is scheduled for completion on November 30.

'Et Formem' Benidorm is composed of two specialties: Auxiliary operations in the organization of activities and operation of sports facilities (Level 1), and Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and gardening centers (Level 1). In each of these areas, there are 10 people who receive a remuneration equivalent to the minimum interprofessional salary (SMI). Once the training cycle is over, students have access to the corresponding certificate of professionalism.

The budget of the program amounts to 232,054.80 euros, borne by the Generalitat and the ESF. Participants during these months will carry out maintenance and auxiliary activities in the Palau d'Esports l'Illa de Benidorm, Foietes Sports Center and Parc de la Séquia Mare.
