The Department of Education will subsidize part of the cost to families registered in Benidorm
Enrollment for the 'Summer School' is open, which this year is located at the CEIP Puig Campana
It will be from July 3 to September 1, for children from 3 to 14 years old and with the possibility of monthly, biweekly, or weekly registration
It offers a dining room service, "morning school" from 7:30 a.m. and "afternoon" until 5:00 p.m.
The Local Association of AMPAs, in collaboration with the Department of Education, organizes for another year the 'Summer School', which will take place from July 3 to September 1 at CEIP Puig Campana, in Els Tolls neighborhood, and is aimed at minors from 3 to 14 years of age.
The Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, informed that "the registration period will be open until June 16", and has added that "as in previous editions, the City Council, through the Education area, will subsidize a part of the cost of the 'Summer School' for families registered in Benidorm”. This subsidy will be a maximum of 50%.
In addition, the Department of Social Welfare will pay for the assistance and dining service for students from families with significant economic difficulties. Also, through this Department, an integration classroom will be set up in the same school.
During their stay at the 'Summer School', students will carry out various activities, such as crafts, games, or music, as well as outings and excursions.
The regular school schedule will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, although to facilitate "the maximum reconciliation of family and work for those families who need it" the possibility of extending this schedule is offered both at first and last minute. Thus, there will be a morning school service from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.; while the 'afternoon' school will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will also be an optional dining room service, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The price per student is 150 euros per month for members of the AMPAs and 180 euros per month for non-members. As in previous years, school attendance –and therefore enrollment- can be monthly, fortnightly, or weekly. In this case, the price per fortnight is 90 euros for members and 110 euros for non-members; while for a week the cost will be 50 euros for members and 70 for non-members.
Regarding the 'extra' services, the price of the 'morning' school is 40 euros per month for members and 45 for non-members. The cost of this service on a weekly and fortnightly basis ranges between 15 and 25 euros for members and between 20 and 30 euros for those who are not members of the AMPA. In the case of the 'afternoon school' the price for members is 45 euros per month; 35 euros a fortnight and 25 euros a week. For non-members, the cost is 50, 40 and 30 euros respectively.
Finally, the dining room service is 5.90 euros per day.
