The Department of Culture has launched a Poetry Workshop by the poet, visual artist, culture manager and doctor of Fine Arts from Córdoba, Guillermo Cano, which will take place at the Municipal Library every Wednesday from April 10 to 12 of June.

With this workshop, the Department continues its dynamic of "dissemination of scenic, musical and visual arts," said the head of the municipal area of Culture, Ana Pellicer, who recalled that over the past years the City Council has "programmed a very complete agenda full of music, theater, exhibitions" and, entering fully into the literary field "with book presentations, readings, and poetic recitals".

As a complement to all this work developed from Culture to "deepen" in the poetic field, it has been proposed that this workshop "focused - Pellicer has specified - to all ages, from young people from 16 to all older people who want to do it. "

Regarding the driver of the activity, Guillermo Cano, Ana Pellicer recalled that he has an extensive curriculum, which highlights "his teaching preparation and creative activity always linked to art and poetry." In this sense, Cano stated that he feels "very happy to be able to make a contribution to boost and strengthen the culture so alive in this town", and even more so to be able to do it with poetry "with which I feel very committed".

Guillermo Cano has addressed those people who "have an interest in getting started in writing or those who wish to see their writing improved". With this workshop, of "very high practical character", the texts will be worked on by the students, who will be advised to go deeper into "aspects as necessary within poetry as learning to declaim correctly".
