Continuing projections of short films in the CAM, the thematic workshops and the exhibitions
Skyline Benidorm Film Festival celebrates the meeting between Valencian film festivals and Catalunya Film Festival
The municipal building of El Torrejó has hosted this morning the meeting of the representatives of film festivals of the Valencian Community with Catalunya Film Festivals, represented by its head Marta Lladó. A meeting that is part of the celebration of the 'III Skyline Benidorm Film Festival', which started yesterday and will close next Sunday.
Yesterday the first blocks of short films were screened and the first of the thematic workshops was held, given by the film critic Juan Carlos Gascón and which dealt with 'Learning to see cinema: film genres', aimed at students and teachers of Secondary education.
Tomorrow, Saturday will be the workshop of 'Introduction to the production of short films', given by Pepe Jordana, producer of a score of short films that accumulate more than 300 awards at festivals. In this workshop, and for two hours, Jordana will explain to the participants the whole process of creating a short film, from the making of the script to its distribution in festivals, internet and television.
The last workshop, the 'Stop Motion', will also be Saturday at 5.30 pm and will be run by the animator and winner of two Goyas Pablo Llorens, who will teach participants from 5 to 10 years how to animate and give movement to a doll created with plasticine. In addition, participants will take home a small film of their own made during the workshop.
Exhibitions
The exhibition 'La sombra de la ley. Cinematographic costumes', remains open until May 5 at the Museum 'Boca del Calvari' in Benidorm showing part of the work of the costume designer Clara Bilbao designed for the film of the same name. Clara Bilbao won the Goya Award for the best costumes of the Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences of Spain in 2019 for this work, and in 2012 and 2016 for 'Nobody Wants the Night' (Isabel Coixet) and 'Blackthron' (Mateo Gil) ), respectively.
On the other hand, the hall of the Aula CAM hosts, until April 7, the exhibition of posters of the finalist short films of the festival.
