Contracts for lighting, street furniture, and waste collection and street cleaning
A commission will study and follow up the specifications of the three concessions that end in 2018
A technical and political commission will study and follow up the specifications that will govern the bidding of the three large concessions that end in 2018. The mayor, Toni Pérez, has specified that these are the "advertising and urban furniture, street collection and cleaning, and public lighting and traffic lights. "
Pérez explained that today this commission has been constituted "in compliance with a motion approved on December 26 at the proposal of the municipal group Ciudadanos (Cs)." The mayor participated in the constituent meeting; the Councilor for Recruitment, Lourdes Caselles; representatives of the groups of the corporation; and a non-attached councilor.
The mayor has indicated that "now comes the technical work by the departments involved in the drafting of these specifications," so that "as they are developed they are brought to the attention of the members of the commission" to, "between all ", make contributions that allow" better management of these public services. "
Pérez recalled that a similar formula of work and participation has already been used for contracts for integral management of beaches and maintenance of parks and gardens, both tendered by public tender in 2016.
In addition to the political groups, the legal advice, the Intervention area, and the Contracting and Engineering departments will form part of this commission.
The periodicity of the meetings will be marked by the progress in the drafting of each of the specifications.
