Classical music and jazz center the new summer cultural programming of Hort de Colón

The councilor of Historic Heritage, Ana Pellicer, presented this morning, together with the municipal technician of the Department, Antonio Couto, the new cultural programming summer Hort de Colón that will start on Friday, June 30 with a 'Pirate Gynana' for children and will end on September 29 with the last programmed dramatized visit to this stately building of the nineteenth century, converted into a municipal museum and exhibition hall.

It will be "eleven companies that the City Council will hire," said Pellicer, for the realization of 75 activities during the months of July, August and September. A good part of them "aimed at children and obviously for all audiences." Pellicer has detailed the workshops for children that will be held from July 5 to September 7 on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. where children will be able to practice manual skills such as balloflexia, puppets, origami, masks and traditional games.

The program also includes animation specials every Friday from 19:00 to 20:30, between July 5 and September 7, which will start tomorrow, Friday, June 30, with the show 'Gincana Pirata' and end on 8 September with the 'Festival of the pomps'.

Jazz and classical music

The councillor of Historic Heritage has recalled the recent pedestrianization of Tomás Ortuño street what "avoids the noise of vehicles and promotes the walk of the pedestrians." This has given rise to "the great novelty of this year": jazz concerts on Saturdays and classical music on Sundays.

On August 27, the program will be closed with the 'Noche de tango, bossa nova, bolero y pop', by Scordadúo. All concerts will be at 20.30. In this regard, Antonio Couto has said that "the garden is an extraordinary place to listen to music at weekends" and pointed out that, for the realization of this program has been the collaboration of the Association of Amigos de la Música of the Marina Baixa.

Dramatized Visits

Another of the attractions of Hort de Colón summer program are dramatized visits, which will be held on Thursdays and Fridays, at 21.00 hours between July 6 and September 29 with the aim of showing the history of Benidorm, taking As a reference, underlined Pellicer, "the incomparable framework of this house of the nineteenth century."
