The City Council initiates the procedures to acquire the land for the future Discotecas road

Benidorm City Council has begun the process for the acquisition of the land through which the so-called discotecas road, which will connect the Comunidad Valenciana avenue with a new roundabout access to the industrial estate. The Councilor for Urban Development, Lourdes Caselles, has reported that "last week the first agreements were signed" that collect in each case the "mutual agreement" between the City Council and the property for the acquisition of land "based on the project expropriation that was exposed to the public and that valued the land in about 300,000 euros ".

Caselles recalled that the execution of this road "is one of the conditions imposed by the Ministry of Development to authorize the construction of the new roundabout that gives access to the industrial estate and the commercial center from the N-332 road."

"The bidding and execution of the roundabout and the road are getting closer," said Caselles, thanks to the signing of these "agreements of mutual agreement", which are prior to the expropriation and occupation of the land. Likewise, he recalled that the last modification of the General Plan linked to the hotel incentive, fixed that among the most necessary dotacionales grounds for Benidorm were the lands for the future road Discotecas.

The head of Urbanism indicated that "once acquired and occupied" all these lands, -a resolution to be voted on in plenary-, the City Council may tender and adjudicate the works of the roundabout and the road authorized by the Ministry of Development " and for which "an important amount" of 1.8 million euros has been included in the municipal budget project for 2018. One document, the latter, delivered before Easter to all the members of the corporation for study and analysis.

The project for the execution of the road and the roundabout has a duration of "12 months", although for a matter of time, it is expected to be carried out in two budgetary years.
