Carrer de Pilota del Palau stops working as a vaccination center and the point is moved to La Torreta social center

After about three months, Carrer de Pilota in Palau d'Esports l'Illa stops to function as a 'vacunadrome', moving from Tuesday, June 22, the mass vaccination point of Benidorm to the social center La Torreta, located on Avenida Ciudad Real number 6, in Rincón de Loix area.

As indicated by the Councilor for Health, Mónica Gómez, "the Ministry has communicated that they will send a new message to the people who had already been summoned to report the new vaccination point.

Gómez recalled that “initially the vaccination point in Carrer de Pilota was only going to be used to carry out the immunization process for teachers in the region. However, given the proper functioning of these facilities, Public Health decided to continue using it for the general vaccination of the population ”.

"Now, once new vaccination points have been enabled in the region, decentralizing these massive processes and also diverting them to other municipalities, the facilities of La Torreta social center are made available to Public Health" , has explained.

The councillor has influenced "the close collaboration between the City Council and Public Health throughout this process, in which the local administration has made available to the health authorities the human and technical resources necessary to adapt the facilities of Carrer de Pilota and to attend to the people who have come to it to receive their vaccine ”. Among the technical means provided by the City Council, such as several purifying equipments.

"This collaboration and disposition by the City Council is maintained, since at the moment with municipal media the facilities of La Torreta social center are being adapted to the needs and indications transferred by Public Health, just as this same offer of resources was maintained to keep the facilities of Carrer de Pilota active if it is considered ”, she added.
