On Saturday night, the Castell, Tossal and the City Council will wear blue colour to raise awareness about the situation experienced by nearly 80 million people
Benidorm participates in the commemoration of World Refugee Day by illuminating three emblematic enclaves
The city of Benidorm participates in World Refugee Day which is commemorated every year on June 20 in 135 countries by the UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR. For this reason, on the night from Saturday to Sunday, three of Benidorm's most emblematic enclaves will light up in blue: El Castell, El Tossal de La Cala and the Town Hall.
With this gesture, it is intended to sensitize the population about the situation experienced by nearly 80 million people, who have been forced to displace due to war, violence and human rights violations. At the same time, this lighting constitutes a show of Benidorm's solidarity with refugees.
