The bullfighter, Andy Cartagena, will celebrate the 20 years of his alternative with 6 bulls in Benidorm

El rejoneador Andy Cartagena celebrará los 20 años de su alternativa con 6 toros en Benidorm

Jesús Carrobles bets on this type of spectacles so that Benidorm "re-sounds in the bullfighting world"

Cartagena, together with the Councilor of Plaza de Toros, Jesús Carrobles and the bullfighting businessman Alberto García de Tauroemoción SLU, have presented this morning the event that will start at 18.00 hours on Saturday, April 15.

With this event, "the start signal", underlined Carrobles, "to the bullfighting season 2017 with a person from Benidorm", "very close to us" who had not been fighting in the city "for 10 years." The councilman has congratulated the bullfighter for his first 20 years of career and has been willing to enhance the celebration of these festivities, to "recover the gap" that Benidorm had for the city to "replay in the bullfighting world." In this sense, the businessman Alberto García has said that "Benidorm is not a simply bullring" and that "has enormous possibilities" because here "great events that have marked the history of bullfighting in our country", have been celebrated.

For his part, the bullfighter from Benidorm was very happy to return to his land "after having been 10 or 12 years without fighting in it" taking the name of Benidorm for the main bullrings of the world and with a poster "with many attractions such as Padilla, a recent winner at the Magdalena fairs in Castellón and Fallas in Valencia, as well as Varea's future bet for the bullfight.

Andy Cartagena was born in Benidorm in December 1980. He first performed in public in the French city of Nimes in 1996. He took the alternative on March 8, 1997 in Castellón

Tickets for the event will go on sale on April 8 at the ticket booths of the bullring. They can also be purchased at the Triangular Square kiosk and the Benidorm Excursions on Gerona Street (Rincón de Loix).
