It will have the image of Benidorm in the mail and to philatelic collections
Benidorm will start to use its tourist postmark tomorrow
Benidorm Post Office, tomorrow the 20th, will use a new illustrated postmark that, unlike the traditional one, in addition to the name of the town, shows a drawing alluding to the population and will transfer that image of Benidorm to any corner of the world.
Benidorm has been throughout history a motif and a stamp image and commemorative postmarks. Benidorm skyline starred in the homage of the national post office to the province of Alicante in 2018 and, on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of Benidorm Song Festival (1985), a commemorative postmark was coined for that event.
Benidorm was also a pioneer in pre-stamped Postcards in 2012 and 2017, distributing the image of the city through this philatelic-postal product.
The postmark that starts operating tomorrow, Tuesday, will be permanently in Benidorm Main Post Office, and its stamp will be part of the thousands of philatelic collections of this type of postmark that exist around the world.
This tourist postmark initiative began to be operated by Post in 2014.
