During his speech, the mayor made a balance of three and a half years of government, in which "we have opted for citizen participation, practiced active listening, dialogue and consensus." Perez stressed that in this period "we have managed to carry out projects and initiatives that at the beginning of the legislature few thought could be made possible and, least of all, with a government in the minority". "These are projects and initiatives -he pointed- that were in our electoral programs and that, in some cases, had become recurrent in the successive executive periods". P>
Thus, he has referred to the already begun remodeling of the avenue of the Mediterranean in its first phase; to the "turn of 180º" that has been given to the Urban Scene with performances "in all the neighborhoods" that have been carried out "listening to neighbors, businessmen and social groups" and that have allowed "to eliminate barriers, promote accessibility, improve the road and pedestrian safety, and betting on sustainability ". He also referred to the pedestrianization and semi-pedestrianization of streets "to return them to the citizen, to commerce and to restoration" such as Tomás Ortuño, Gerona, Armada Española, Apolo XI and Sant Antoni.
The mayor has also alluded to the creation of two new green lungs such as Parques de Foietes and Séquia Mare, and to the configuration of spaces such as Els Ametlers, La Cala, Tamarindos and Xaloc parks. He has also put the accent on "the enhancement of historical heritage" with the recovery of the Tower of Les Caletes or the actions in the El Tossal site; and the "adaptation of municipal spaces for free and free parking" in different parts of the city to add 4,750 new places.
He has also referred to urban management, which has allowed to reformulate and promote the development of the largest partial plan yet to be executed, the Ensanche de Levante; and he recalled that the Partial Plan 2/1 will begin soon, which will make it possible to "connect, finally, the Xixo area with the first line of Poniente beach". A sector will be developed in parallel with the Unit 1 of Poniente, which will be available to the public in a period not exceeding five months.
He has also influenced that throughout the term "we have bet on improving the employability of our neighbors"; "We have been at the side of the social groups helping with more resources those who need it most" and "we have provided" children and young people with more comfortable and suitable facilities for sports ". At this point, he stressed that he has worked "a lot" to "make the project" Benidorm Smart Tourist Destination "a reality and to be the first certified smart tourist destination in the world, an achievement that we already touch with the tips of our fingers". p>
Pérez has meant that the achievement of these projects has been possible thanks to good economic management because "this local government has conjugated the verb 'ask' before all public administrations", which only in 2018 has resulted in the granting of "subsidies amounting to more than 20 million euros", for "projects generated in Benidorm" and that will be specified in actions starting in 2019. p>
As the mayor has reel, the Provincial Council of Alicante has awarded Benidorm "about 2 million euros in aid"; the city has achieved "more than 13 million euros from European funds"; around 3.5 million from the Generalitat Valenciana of the 'Edificant' Plan; and 2.4 million from the Government of Spain for the digital transformation of Benidorm through Red.es. p>
"Ultimately," he said, "there is still much to be done, but we have complied with many of the commitments we made with citizens when we took office, and that we reissued when we added the team to the two councilors of the Ciudadanos por Benidorm ". P>

In this regard, he has indicated that "beyond announcements, it is time to continue knocking at the door of the Ministry of Interior" to meet the commitment to build the new police station. Also, to "continue demanding" from the government of the Generalitat that "the Rincon de Loix has a decent health center", that "the railroad traffic is addressed" with "burying" of roads included; that "real" investment be made in the expansion of the regional hospital and its access; that the extension of the IES Pere Mª Orts i Bosch be completed "so that our students stop attending class in prefabricated classrooms"; that "the students of the public school Vasco Núñez de Balboa have the facilities they deserve"; and that "the entire society of Benidorms enjoy the long-awaited and needed Cultural Center".
