Benidorm will have all the paths of l'Horta with lighting in the first quarter of 2023
González de Zárate announces an IDAE-II for the entire Levante sector and Ana Pellicer highlights the importance of contact with neighbors and residents
Within the initiative of the Government Team of the Benidorm City Council to approach the neighbourhoods of Benidorm, 'A pie de calle' has been today, with the Neighborhood Council and the Neighborhood Association of l'Horta, in the extensive neighbourhood of l 'Horta de Benidorm to inspect on the ground the latest updates in lighting and road ditch clearing.
Councilor González de Zárate announced today, after exposing the first phase of the activation process on the roads in the area, "the commissioning of 35 lights" on the roads of Salt de l'Aigua, Pla del Marc, Lluís de Carlos , l'Era de Tous, Vell de l'Alfás and Llandero, noting that "several are remote management" to optimize their operation. De Zárate added that there are other paths in the lighting phase, such as Camí del California, Casa del Peix, Les Coves, Senia, d'Onofre, Cuartel, Viña and Retor, as well as the so-called Assagador de la Barrinada and Ricardo.
The actions contemplate 3 types of systems, explained De Zárate: "by aerial cable, by the solar panel -on the roads of Llandero and La Dominga- and by a hybrid system, cable and solar, depending on the moment".
The Councilor for Public Space announced that "Benidorm already has a new IDAE, IDAE-II, 50% subsidized with European funds, which will focus on changing lighting to a LED system, with remote management, in the entire Levante, from the beach to l'horta”.
After visiting some of the roads that already have the new lights, the councillors of Public Space and Citizen Participation held a meeting with neighbours and residents of l'Horta, learning about their demands, explained the mayor Ana Pellicer, "in matters of traffic, speed, safety, road cleaning and road clearing." Pellicer has highlighted that "it is about closeness and direct contact with the neighbours to be more effective when it comes to attending to their requests and solving possible problems".
In these contacts, he pointed out, "there is an opportunity to learn about the peculiarities of each neighbourhood, the needs that are exposed to you in the first person, a direct and on-the-spot contact with which to check the actions carried out and learn about the new ones to be carried out, which they come up."
'A pie de calle' is an initiative of the Government Team of Benidorm City Council that weekly visits, together with the Neighborhood Council and the competent municipal technicians, a neighbourhood of Benidorm maintaining direct contact with the Association of neighbours and residents of the same.
In making contact today with l'Horta de Benidorm, José Ramón González de Zárate and Ana Pellicer have dealt with specific issues of the neighborhood that have revolved around environmental and traffic issues, checking the effectiveness and usefulness of the lighting systems already in operation.
