Students of the IES Pere Maria Orts i Bosch will decorate the Municipal Market and will promote the showcases on Instagram
Benidorm trade receives Christmas with the XXIV Window Dressing Contest
The Councilwoman of Commerce, Ana Pellicer, has presented this morning the XXIV edition of the Christmas Window Dressing Contest that this year will have the collaboration of the students of IES Pere Maria Orts i Bosch Commerce, business associations, artistic collectives and the Neighborhood Council .
Pere Maria students will play a fundamental role in the launch of the contest. The concillor, who has been accompanied by Professor Pau Gregori and students Pablo Muñoz, Rodrigo Gruosso, Micael Martínez and Manu Fernández, announced that the students of First and Second year of the Technical Degree of Commercial Activities will be responsible for decorating the Municipal Market; Those in the first year of the top level of Marketing Technician will work on social networks, especially on Instagram; and those of Second of this same grade will lead the Awards Ceremony to be held on December 21, at 9:00 pm, in the Assembly Hall Benidorm City Hall.
Registration to participate may be made until December 7. The decoration must remain in the shop windows from the 11th of that month to the 6th of January. The establishments "must send a photograph of the finished decoration" to the e-mail address concursonavidad@benidorm.org, or by Whatsapp to the number 699 320 553. With the inscriptions presented there will be a "preselection" to choose "the thirty semifinalists that will receive the visit of the jury ". The mayor has stressed that the businesses that pass to the final "will be the image of the Christmas campaign in all social networks of the City."
As in previous occasions, the jury will be representatives of the professional associations of Benidorm and technical staff of the Department. However, another of the novelties of this edition will be the inclusion in it of "a member of the Neighborhood Council", with the objective of "encouraging the participation of the neighbors", to which Pellicer has encouraged "to decorate its streets" and has announced that there will be a prize for the public thoroughfare dressed for Christmas.
A challenge for students
IES professor Pere Maria Orts i Bosch, Pau Gregori, has said that the contest is "a unique opportunity" and a way to "professionalize the trade through digital marketing". Gruosso thanked the "opportunity" offered by the City Council to carry out "professional practices"; Martínez, has highlighted the power "to grow on a practical level"; Muñoz has underlined the "gratifying" of the work on Christmas dates; and Fernández stressed that "it is a challenge" in which to "impregnate the knowledge that teachers have taught us and, what is better, in our city".
