Benidorm completes repairs at the health center in Rincón de Loix
The City Council has completed the repairs and adaptation of health center in Rincón de Loix where the most urgent needs of these sanitary facilities have been addressed, and which became more evident as a result of the damages caused by the storm. rain and wind that was recorded in January.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, has visited the health center this morning to see the results of these actions. Pérez has been accompanied by the Councilor for Health, Ana Pellicer; by the councillor of Works, José Ramón González de Zárate; and by the deputy speaker of Citizens (Cs), Juan Balastegui.
The mayor explained that "we have invested nearly 45,000 euros to solve the most pressing problems pending the new health center that the Ministry has committed to build in Rincón de Loix." Pérez recalled that "in yesterday's plenary session the cession of the land for the new sanitary center was approved, after the Regional Government confirmed us that at the end of October the technical feasibility of the plot offered by the City Council".
The adequacy works financed by the City Council have been executed in two phases. In the first "we have treated the damages that were detected after the January weather", and in a second "another battery that was transferred to us by the people in charge of the center and that the technicians verified in July".
The first round of repairs, valued at 14,458.66 euros and executed by the company Sigma, has consisted of the repair of dampness and existing holes in the roof, the arrangement of the cornice of the facade, and the reinforcement of the waterproofing. In addition, the parking area of the ambulance has been adapted "to make it accessible and facilitate the transfer of patients and people with functional diversity".
In the second phase, repairs have been made to leaks, loose tiles, several windows and shutters, air conditioning, two-point ceilings, bathrooms, and cracks in the admission area; bars have been installed; and the center has been repainted. These repairs made by the Ipsum company have involved an investment of 27,000 euros.
