Benidorm stands up to macho violence
The Councilor for Equality, Ángela Zaragozí, has presented today the activities scheduled by Benidorm City Council in commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women that is celebrated worldwide on November 25.
"We have to raise awareness about violence against women," said Zaragozí, for this reason, the Department of Equality have organized activities to "raise awareness and publicize" the problem and that lead to "the total eradication of the violence ”macho, social scourge that has ended in what we have been with the lives of 51 women this year and has left 43 children orphaned.

Tuesday, November 19. 12.00 Espai d’Art of the lobby of the Benidorm City Hall. Inauguration of the III Poster Exhibition of the students of the IES Pere Maria Orts and Bosch, organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture. The exhibition will remain open until November 29.

Tuesday, November 26. 18.30 hours. Assembly Hall of Benidorm City Council. Shorts against gender violence: ‘Violeta és nom de dona’, made by students of the IES Beatriu Fajardo de Mendoza in Benidorm with the collaboration of the Bernat de Sarrià institutes, in Benidorm, and La Malladeta, in Vila Joiosa. Subsequently, ‘Documóvil’ will be screened, five short films made by young people from Benidorm within the program of introduction to audiovisual production through the gender perspective of the Department of Equality.
