Benidorm sends Fomento the industrial sector project with the requested modifications as a preliminary step to its tender
In the next few days, Benidorm City Council will send to the Ministry of Public Works the consolidated text of the construction project for the N-332 junction and connection to Comunidad Valenciana avenue with the modifications requested by this administration to give the green light to the development of PP 3 /1 Industrial Sector.
The development agent, Terra Village Land S.L. has sent the document to the City Council already adapted to the Environmental Impact Statement and the Development reports. Once Fomento approves the document, the City Council will proceed to the tender for the execution of the access roundabout to the industrial estate and the so-called Vial Discotecas.
The Councilor for Urban Planning, Lourdes Caselles, has pointed out in this regard that it is "one more step of something that would not correspond to us" but that in any case "will allow the urbanization of the partial plan 3/1 to be completed. "Development forced us to make the access roundabout and the Vial Discotecas, which already appears in the General Plan of 1990, and everything to make the industrial sector viable" pointed out the mayor.
The document was presented yesterday to the City Council, which will now send it to the Ministry "and once we have the green light we will proceed to the tender". A tender that must be published in the Official Journal of the European Union "and we hope that, finally, the imposed obligations are completed and that the urbanization that Fomento paralyzed to require us to make the roundabout, which would not correspond to us, ends."
Without the construction of this roundabout "they won't let us start up the sector" and hence the speed that they want to give to the process "to obtain that approval as soon as possible and proceed with the tender" Caselles concluded.
