Once both works are completed, all vias of Ensanche de Levante between Emilio Ortuño and Europa will have been performed
Benidorm renews sidewalks and services of Finestrat Street thanks to improvements in the work of del Mar street
Within the work of ‘Renovation and improvement of water infrastructure in del Mar street’, Finestrat Street is also going to be performed, another of the routes that links Emilio Ortuño with Esperanto. As explained by the mayor, Toni Pérez, “this work on Finestrat Street is the improvement obtained by the City Council and will allow us to act on all sidewalks of this road, install a new network of drinking water and services to implant fiber optics and for the future renovation of the lighting ”. The mayor has made these statements after checking how these works have been planned together with the Councilor for Works, José Ramón González de Zárate; and municipal technicians.
Pérez has reported that "thanks to this improvement action we will gain width on the sidewalks of Finestrat Street, thus making them more accessible", while improving the urban scene and hydraulic infrastructures. He also stressed that "once the works on the streets of Mar and Finestrat are completed, we will have acted in all the streets of Ensanche de Levante located between the Emilio Ortuño road and Europa Avenue". "An impressive task," he added, "of modernization and improvement of the urban scene and of the public thoroughfare, but which above all has a great impact on the subsoil infrastructure."
The mayor recalled that the renovation project on del Mar street "began at the end of January", "is valued at 355,000 euros" and "has an execution period of four months." Despite being a street of just over 180 meters, "it is key to the operation of the city's water network, since it is of capital importance in the sanitation and water supply of the entire environment." A hydraulic network that has “more than 30 years old” -
Before this performance, del Mar street had a sidewalk that was barely half a meter wide, not guaranteeing accessible transits. A situation that will be reversed, since del Mar street will become a single platform and therefore 100% accessible, following the model of the streets Mayor or Apollo XI
The project foresees the complete renovation of the waste network with the installation of a new collector, log wells and household sanitation connections. In addition, a rainwater network will also be provided to the street and the drinking water supply will be completely renovated, extending it to Emilio Ortuño Street. Already on the surface, the project also contemplates replacing all current luminaires with others of the type ‘LED’ to advance energy saving within the public lighting network; and the implementation of wifi.
