Councilor Luis Navarro points out that the objective is "for our residentes and visitors to have the best image of the city"
Benidorm reinforces the street cleaning device in August before the arrival of tourists in the month of greatest influx
Benidorm City Council, through the Department of Street Cleaning, has doubled its efforts in terms of cleaning the city with the arrival of August, the month with the greatest influx of visitors and tourists. An effort even greater than that made in July, when the device was also reinforced.
As was done at the beginning of the summer, the cleaning device will carry out its work by neighborhood to "have the best possible image of the city", according to the area councilor, Luis Navarro. A reinforcement that will carry out its work in the afternoon and will continue throughout the month, from Monday to Friday, until August 31.
Navarro specified that this additional device will be carried out in coordination with the FCC concessionaire, which will reinforce, in particular, all selective waste collection services, specifically cardboard, packaging, and glass. "All the washing down on public roads and the streets adjacent to the beaches will also be promoted to keep the roads and sidewalks in the best possible condition" the mayor has advanced.
Likewise, special attention will be paid to the maintenance of containers, litter bins, and urban furniture, and cleaning at the entrances to the city will be promoted both on Avenida Beniardá, Comunidad Valenciana, and Avenida Bernat de Sarrià.
Another of the priorities of this special device will focus on reinforcing the sweep where the greatest influx of tourists is registered, that is, both in the neighborhood of La Cala and in Rincón de Loix.
All this operation, as pointed out by the Councilor for Street Cleaning, entails a significant increase in the workforce to exceed 210 daily workers.
