On different days and times, the city offers the health centers in La Cala y Foietes and La Casa del Fester to receive the vaccine
Benidorm opens three vaccination points to receive doses against the flu and Covid 19
On the occasion of the imminent arrival of the Christmas holidays and traditional family gatherings, the health authorities have planned to reopen several vaccination points in the region to receive doses against the flu and Covid 19 in order to avoid the extent of transmission of both diseases.
In Benidorm, the centers that will open their doors for this vaccination campaign will be the health centers of La Cala, Foietes and Casa del Fester, each of which will have certain days and times for the population that wishes to receive the vaccines.
The Councilor for Health. Mónica Gómez has influenced the objective of this campaign "which is none other than to obtain the greatest number of vaccinations to have the best possible parties and that we can enjoy the family on these very important days." The councillor encouraged getting vaccinated "especially those over 60 years of age and risk groups for both the flu and against Covid to avoid possible complications in the future" and has specified that the flu inoculation "is a regular campaign of each year for the entire population, but especially for the most vulnerable”.
Thus, La Cala health center will be open for vaccinations today, Friday, December 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Foietes health center, for its part, will receive those who wish to be vaccinated on the 13th and 15th of this month from 10:30 in the morning to 2:30 in the afternoon.
Finally, the City Council has also made La Casa del Fester available for the vaccination campaign, which will be operational for the campaign from the 12th to the 16th inclusive, with hours from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Mónica Gómez added that her department "will put all the facilities to try that all people can access vaccination."
The campaign seeks to inoculate the flu vaccine to people over 65 years of age and risk groups. In the case of the Covid 19 vaccine, the memory dose will be given and those over 60 years of age will have priority, as well as risk groups such as people with respiratory diseases, immunosuppressed, or cancer patients, among others.
