The mayor highlights "the great success" of this action "in an area that lacked this type of facility"
Benidorm incorporates a new park on Periodista Emilio Romero street that completes a network of 25 children's spaces throughout the city
Benidorm City Council has opened a new space for children's games on Periodista Emilio Romero Street, at the junction of Lepanto Street, a new children's area that already has 25 throughout the city, so that a mesh of this has been created a type of playgrounds that covers all residential and visitor areas throughout the municipal area.
This new playground was the focus of the visit made today by the 'A pie de Calle' campaign, which was attended by the acting mayor, Toni Pérez, and also acting councilors for Citizenship Participation and Urban Scene, Ana Pellicer, and José Ramón González de Zárate, accompanied by the vice president of the Neighborhood Council, Antonio Zamora, and some residents of the area.
Precisely the mayor highlighted that this new area has been created "because the neighborhood lacks a facility of this type in the vicinity." The new space includes inclusive and accessible elements and is designed to serve an age group of 1 to 12 years. It has a large area to play without difficulty inside the area, which covers an area of more than 250 square meters and has a perimeter fence for greater security.
The theme is a mobile park with swings for the little ones, a dock, an accessible car, an interactive panel, a truck, a motorcycle slide... and all this on a cushioning base and artificial grass with figures printed on it.
Toni Pérez has highlighted "the great success that this work is" because "it will allow us to have facilities that until now were not in this area and that the neighbors had asked us on several occasions." The park is integrated into an area of residents and hotels. "The environment is ideal because the plot is also surrounded by trees and green areas, away from traffic and with hardly any noise pollution," said the mayor.
The mayor, finally, specified that "it is an investment that is included in the annual investment plan of the municipal concessionaire of street furniture, which is who has carried out the work."
