Benidorm hosts the first edition of the WT Olympic Taekwondo 'City of Benidorm' within the TKD Pro Tour circuit

This weekend, the Palau d'Esports l'Illa in Benidorm hosts the first edition of Olympic Taekwondo WT “City of Benidorm”, a competition that takes place within the TKD Protour Circuit and organized by the Taekwondo Club Modukwan Benidorm.

Mariló Cebreros, Councilor for Sports, has expressed satisfaction with the celebration of this championship that "for the first time we will be lucky to have this sporting event in our city and that it is divided into two parts."

On Saturday, October 26, a combat seminar with all categories will be held from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm. And on Sunday 27 from 09.00 will start the competition with the Combat and Poomsae Championship in which athletes from thirty regional clubs in the different categories from Pre Benjamin to Master will participate.

Antonio Entrena Aguilar, president of Taekwondo Modukwan Benidorm Club, stressed that "great competitors will participate in this competition for a prestigious event such as Olympic taekwondo. We hope it will be the beginning of many other competitions that the city can host, such as Spanish Championship. I think it was fair that Benidorm could have a representation, something unprecedented for an Olympic mode."
