The exhibition, made up of around thirty images, arrives this Friday at the Espais d'Art Urbà Ponent, El Campo, Pont and Hispanitat
'Benidorm Expone' proposes 'Un paseo por la vida' by the photographer Cuco de Frutos
After José Bravo's 'Invitations', the 'Benidorm Expone' project proposes a new exhibition in this case by the photographer Cuco de Frutos who presents the viewer with 'Un paseo por la vida'. It is an exhibition made up of "some thirty photographs that can be seen starting this Friday, June 2, in four of our Espais d'Art Urbà", according to the acting Councilor for Historical and Cultural Heritage. , Ana Pellicer.
'Un paseo por la vida' arrives at the Espais d'Art El Campo, Pont, Hispanitat, and Ponent. Precisely in the latter, on Friday, starting at 11:00 a.m., a visit with the author is scheduled "to which we invite anyone who wants to know more in-depth and from the mouth of Cuco de Frutos himself the background, context, process, and intentionality of the 15 images that are exhibited in this Espai d'Art, to go from there to the other three exhibition spaces”.
Pellicer explained that “in this exhibition, we are going to discover landscapes and people that Cuco de Frutos, who is based in New York, has portrayed throughout his many extensive travels around the world; photographs, all of them, that bear his stamp and personal style that is reflected in the way he captures light and in the unconventional use he makes of reflective material”.
The acting councilor has pointed out that "all the photographs by Cuco de Frutos have a common denominator: they capture every day or non-replicable moments, as the author himself says, to which the perspective changes to surprise the viewer."
"It is, ultimately, how he expresses himself, from his particular point of view and always keeping his origins in mind," Pellicer has indicated.
As the mayor has advanced, "Cuco de Frutos is the first proposal of the summer within our 'Benidorm Expone', but it will not be the only one". Thus, in a few days, other artists will land in the rest of Espais d'Art Urbà in Benidorm, which "exhibition by exhibition advances in its consolidation as a great open-air museum, a reference for many authors who want their work to be exhibited in our city ”.
