Sea and beach activities and alternative and traditional games and sports activities have been organized
Benidorm celebrates the sports days of the 'Blue Week' in June with almost 3,000 participating Primary school students
The Department of Sports of Benidorm City Council organizes one more year the Sports Days of the 'Blue Week' for the school month of June. Some conferences will be developed through the mediation of a group of municipal sports technicians and within the school hours of the educational centers of the city.
Kayaking activities and sports on the beach have been organized for the sixth-grade students, so that the students will go to Benidorm nautical port and Poniente beach, at the height of Elche Park, to carry out initiation practices in water sports such as sea kayaking and sports on the beach.
As for the rest of the Primary students, they will have alternative and traditional games and sports that will be carried out inside each of the sports venues of the public and subsidized schools in Benidorm through a specific plan of recreational sports activities.
For all participating students, the activity will be completely free, as will transportation to those educational centers that are more than a kilometer away from the Yacht Club. The full cost will be borne by the Department of Sports.
The exits to the sea will, however, be conditioned to the weather and the state of the sea, with the final decision of the municipal sports technicians being the suspension of the nautical activity.
The participation of a total of 2,923 students from the local primary schools is expected, of which 645 from sixth grade will participate in the sea (kayak) and beach activity (beach soccer, beach volleyball, beach handball). On the other hand, 2,278 students will take part in the activity of games and alternative and traditional sports in the schools' facilities.
