Members of the corporation, led by the first deputy mayor, Ana Pellicer; and municipal workers have concentrated at noon at the gates of the City Hall to condemn the latest murder of gender registered last Friday in a district of Madrid, in Usera.
The victim, a 27-year-old woman, was allegedly murdered by her partner, a 40-year-old man with a history of gender-based violence and whom the judge had previously imposed several arrest warrants. The man confessed the National Police that he had stabbed his partner.
With this, there are already 24 women killed so far this year by their partners or ex-partners, and 11 children who have been orphaned by these violent deaths.
