Tomorrow, Wednesday, El Castell, El Tossal de La Cala and the Town Hall will be lighted up in red
Benidorm commemorates the World AIDS Day
On the occasion of the celebration of World AIDS Day that is commemorated tomorrow, December 1, around the world and the fortieth anniversary of the first clinical description of cases of what we now know as Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome in 1981, Benidorm City Council, together with Friends, Benidorm HIV-AIDS Association, has displayed a commemorative banner on the main balcony of the town hall building.
The First Deputy Mayor, Ana Pellicer, together with those responsible for Health, Equality and Social Welfare, Mónica Gómez, Ángela Llorca and Ángela Zaragozí, other councilors and members of the association with its president, Arnulfo González, at the head, have wanted to give visibility to the anniversary and in this way show their solidarity with the people who fight against the disease.
Also, to further enhance the event, tomorrow El Castell, El Tossal de La Cala and the Town Hall will be lighted up in red, a color that represents support for the fight against AIDS.
