17 restaurants offer menus at 20 euros from Saturday until October 23
Benidorm closes its gastronomic programming 2016 with the V Days of Benidorm Rices, celebrated from this Saturday, October 15th, and until 23. The mayor and delegate of Tourism, Toni Pérez, has presented today with the president of the Association of Bars, restaurants and Cafeterias (ABRECA), Javier del Castillo, the event in which 17 restaurants offer menus with different types of local rice at a price of 20 euros. The mayor stressed that the aim of this days is to "bring the gastronomy, the local dishes, how to make and work from the excellence and the highest quality to everyone; residents, tourists and those who visit us during these culinary celebrations. " ABRECA President noted that the Days of Rices "is one of the most successful events" within Benidorm Gastronomy "because it shows our own, local dishes that people increasingly looks for more." Del Castillo pointed out that since participating establishments has made an effort to "imagination" to give a return to traditional recipes and "not to repeat year after year with the same rice". To promote this event they have been published posters and guides with menus that offer different restaurants during these days. Establishments participating in this new edition of the Days are: Arrocería La Marina, Authentic, Barranco Playa, Belvedere, Bolikki Lounge Restaurant, Club Naútico, Condal, El Mesón-Cerveceria Cruz Blanca, Esturión, Jardín Mediterráneo, La Brasería Aurrerá, La Cava Aragonesa, La Posada del Mar, La Sidrería Aurrerá, Marisquería El Puerto, Son de Mar and Venta L'Almartxa. Once this final round of Benidorm Gastronomy is ended, meetings will start to schedule the events of 2017.
Solidarity cause with Anémona. The mayor explained that these V Days of Benidorm Rices also have a solidarity side, as several establishments have agreed to collaborate with Anémone with the march organized for this Sunday, October 16, offering participants in this activity several types of rice so they can taste them at the end of the march in Bilbao street. An initiative that will allow Anémona "raising funds".
