Benidorm carries out an intensive cleaning of Castell and Tossal cliffs
Benidorm City Council, through the concessionaire company for the comprehensive management of the beaches, RA Benidorm, has begun today the intensive cleaning work of the Castell cliffs, in Punta Canfali. The councillor for Beaches and the Environment, Mónica Gómez, has detailed that “during the days of this Thursday and Friday, the workers will be in charge of cleaning the surroundings of the Castell, once the Major Patronal Festivals have passed.”
Subsequently, "next week the team of operators specialized in vertical work will travel to Tossal de la Cala, the other large urban area of cliffs that sees a huge influx of people daily."
“We are talking about two of the most visited tourist enclaves in Benidorm and that is why the City Council carries out the actions to keep it in the best condition in terms of image and from an environmental point of view,” she said.
Gómez explained that "the thorough cleaning of the cliffs is included in the contract for the comprehensive management of the beaches, which stipulates that the concessionaire must annually carry out six special actions of this nature in coves and cliffs in the city." The previous cleanup was carried out after the summer.
