The councilor Mónica Gómez has collected this award from the hands of the councilor Nuria Montes
The beaches and coves of Benidorm will show off the Qualitur flag for another year
Once again this year, the beaches and coves of Benidorm will display the Qualitur flag, which certifies the tourist excellence of the city's sandy beaches. A badge that the Councilor for Beaches, Mónica Gómez, collected today from the Councilor for Tourism, Nuria Montes, at an event organized in Altea.
Gómez has pointed out that this distinction, promoted by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, "is awarded to beaches and coves that comply with the parameters of environmental quality and service provision included in the ISO 9001 and 14001 standards." “These are very demanding parameters and certifications that assess the quality and cleanliness of our waters and sand and all the services provided on our beaches which, once again, are a benchmark for management and excellence.”
The head of Beaches has stressed that “for Benidorm, the care and management of our beaches is essential, a natural resource that is in turn our great tourist attraction at any time of the year. Precisely for this circumstance, our sandy areas have a rescue service, cleaning and accessible beaches during the twelve months, therefore making a constant effort to guarantee the best experience for users, whether they are residents, tourists or visitors.
Gómez recalled that “our services, as well as our waters and sand, are audited throughout the year,” and “there are different organizations that certify that the beaches and coves of Benidorm have excellent quality standards.”
Shortly, the Qualitur flag will be raised on the beaches of Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas, as well as in the coves of l'Almadrava and Ti Ximo.
