Kindergarten and Primary students from all the city's schools participate in it and the City Council congratulates Christmas with their postcards
Awards ceremony for the XV Benidorm Christmas Postcard Contest
The prizes for the fifteenth edition of the School Christmas Card Contest held every year by the Departments of Education and Culture, in which the Early Childhood and Primary education students from all the schools in Benidorm participate, have been awarded in an event that took place in the Town Hall Assembly Hall.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the councillors of Education and Culture, Maite Moreno and Jaime Jesús Pérez, have been in charge of presenting the awards to the children in the presence of their parents and guardians, recreational and educational material and the edition, in the form of a postcard, of the award-winning designs in the different categories. With them, the little ones and their families will be able to congratulate Christmas.
The objective of this contest, in which all the city's educational centres have participated once again, is to promote values such as "coexistence, participation and artistic creation," said the mayor, addressing the public gathered in the Hall of Acts. Toni Pérez has acknowledged that in the annual contest, “there is a lot of work” both at school “and home” painting what Christmas means to children.
The mayor recalled that, with the winning postcards, the political groups of Benidorm City Council and the councillors congratulate Christmas" with which, given their agendas, full of contacts, they will be able to "reach anywhere of the world". "A Christmas greeting - he has reiterated - that is from all of Benidorm."
