The Association of Musical Promoters chooses Benidorm for its Annual Meeting

The Association of Musical Promoters (APM) has chosen Benidorm to hold its Annual Assembly, which from February 28 to March 2 will gather in the city about 300 event entrepreneurs, those responsible for the main festivals of the country, owners of concert halls and theaters, as well as international bookers of the sector.

The councilman of Events, José Ramón González de Zárate, has indicated that the APM "has put Benidorm on its agenda because of the potential that the city has to host major musical and cultural events, for its public and private facilities, its hotels , its communications and its climate ". In the election has also influenced the experience that the city accumulates in the celebration of festivals such as Low or Iberia, and large concerts of national and international artists.

De Zárate pointed out that this Assembly "is an opportunity to make known what Benidorm can offer for the celebration of events of this kind that allow attracting a young tourism that, in many cases, know the city for the first time thanks to these festivals or concerts ".

The councilman has reported that the celebration of this Assembly in Benidorm "will have a direct and indirect economic impact." Thus, those attending the Assembly will spend the night in Benidorm and take advantage of their stay to visit and visit the public and private venues of the city that can host musical and cultural events, such as  Aigüera Park, the Bullring or the Sports City Guillermo Amor

In addition, and based on the agreement to be signed in the coming days by the City Council and the APM - and which has already been approved by the Local Government Board - attendees will lunch and dine in restaurants in the city and use public transport -taxis and buses- for their journeys.

De Zárate has announced that the inaugural act of the Assembly will be on February 28 in the Assembly Hall of the City Council. It is expected to assist local entrepreneurs of the tourism sector and also those linked to the organization of events, and the main agents responsible for the promotion of the city.

The APM represents more than fifty leading Spanish companies promoting concerts and is responsible for more than 80% of private companies. Among them, are Live Nation, Doctor Music, Universal GTS and RLM; as well as the main music festivals, such as the Low Festival, Primavera Sound, Mad Cool and BBK.
