An agent of the Benidorm Local Police has traveled to Turkey to participate in the rescue work in the area of the earthquake that this Monday, February 6, affected several regions in the south of the country and the north of Syria. The agent Jaume Climent is integrated into the Canine Unit of the Benidorm Local Police and is part of the GIRECAN Firefighters group that left yesterday for Turkey with a USAR Light team made up of 15 rescuers and two K9 -rescue dogs-.

The team has already arrived at Adana airport, one of the cities affected by the earthquake, which has already claimed the lives of more than 11,000 people in both countries.

Jaume Climent, together with the rest of the teammates from the USAR Light team, will participate in the efforts to locate and rescue possible survivors. The displaced unit is an interdisciplinary team that also has health personnel and drilling, vertical rescue, and dog rescue capabilities.
