They will be able to access the job market in a sector with "great demand for qualified professionals"
17 students from Benidorm pass the 'Socio-health care for dependent people' course
This morning, the 17 students who passed the course 'Socio-sanitary care for dependent people', have received from the acting mayor, Toni Pérez, and the councilors, also in functions of Social Welfare and Equality, Ángela Llorca and Ángela Zaragozí, the diplomas that certify their professional training.
The course, organized by both councils and subsidized by the Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies, consists of 120 hours, divided into a first theoretical phase of 80 and another practical phase, of 40, in companies; which has allowed the students to receive the necessary knowledge to access a sector "in which there is a great demand for qualified professionals", highlighted the mayor.
Toni Pérez congratulated all the students who, thanks to this course, will be able to access the labor market, reminding them that "in Benidorm, we like people who take care of people" and "that is what the recently concluded course is about".
Having taken advantage of the course will allow the students, who so wish, to continue their training to obtain the Level 2 Professional Certificate of Health Care for Dependent Persons in Social Institutions, which consists of 450 training hours that require passing an entrance test. In this sense, the City Council has planned to support the workers in preparing for the exam.
